SEND ME A ★ FOR MY MUSE’S REACTION TO YOURS PICKING THEM UP AND THROWING THEM OVER THEIR SHOULDER

Sarah!" Loki cried out as she picked him. "No, Sarah! Put me down! Sarah!
Wait…how are you able to pick me up so easily?”

Sarah didn’t say anything, didn’t know what to say. She just stayed quiet, knowing Loki would take it as an invitation to keep talking. He’d allowed her to rant to him enough times, it was only fair.

Loki didn’t say anything else for awhile, only placed his head on her shoulder. When he did say something, it was very simple,
"I just feel unwanted."

Sarah wrapped an arm around Loki, pulling him closer. She could feel her heart breaking for her friend. “You’ve always got me, you know that?” She murmured, resting her head on top of his.

Dexter took a step towards her, his eyebrows knit tightly together as he slowly approached her bed. “Sarah…” he started, watching her closely, “What’s going on? I could feel your distress from a mile away.” Dexter gave her a worried look and sat down on the edge of her bed, rubbing soothing circles on one of her hands while watching her closely.

Something resembling a smile flickered across Sarah’s lips, before disappearing. “Just a nightmare,” she murmured, trying to reassure him. She didn’t tell him what the nightmare was about - him. They hadn’t been her usual nightmares either, these were different. It was extremely worrying.

"That wasn’t ‘Just’ a nightmare. Come on Sarah, you can talk to me. And don’t lie." Dexter, narrowed his eyes at her slightly, giving her a look, then motioned for her to speak. He hated seeing her like this- and he hated even more that she wasn’t telling him what was going on and couldn’t help. He wanted to help, helping others was pretty much his soul purpose. "Please, Sarah?"

But I can’t. I can’t tell you. I don’t want to scare you. She shrugged, not looking him in the eye when he caught her bluff. “It’s just  - this one was different is all. I can usually remember my nightmares for days after, but with this it’s just bits and pieces. And it just leaves me with this sense of…” she couldn’t think of the right word, and just shivered. You asked for the truth, you didn’t say I had to tell you everything. Because there’s no way in hell that’s happening.

Going to bed, will do replies in the morning if I have time

Sarah sat bolt upright in bed, an unused scream in her throat. Balling her hands into fists, she looked up at the ceiling and tried to get her breathing back under control, but not before casting a quick glance around. She never knew when one of her angel buddies were going to show up. She’d been starting to get nightmares, without fail, every night for the past two weeks. And they just kept getting more intense.

"No offence taken," she promised, smiling and yawning. "Sounds like a plan." She smiled as he left, slipping into her street shoes.

The night was boring and uneventful, but she woke up excited. Warning her father at breakfast that she was going to use the driver to visit a friend around two. She spent the morning curled up in her room reading, watching the hours pass by until roughly one thirty, when she went out to the yard and gave their driver the address.

He had left the club shortly afterward, headed home for a long night of negotiations and planning and directing product. Though he couldn’t possibly ask for a better source of income, the time spent to make all the wealth he now had was immense. Not to mention how illegal the entire operation was. When he did finally have the chance to sleep, he slept deeply and soundly, and woke up with a renewed feeling the following morning. For the entirety of the day, he ordered his few servants to take extra care to leave his estate spotless and perfectly tidy, from the gardens to the most untouched corners of his home’s interior. As for himself, he spent most of the morning cooking, one of the few things he trusted himself with far more than any hired help.

Sarah was slightly nervous during the drive up. She was always slightly antsy when she was going somewhere for the first time. Swallowing, she pushed it down as the car pulled up to the fairly large estate. Stepping out, she smiled and looked around, walking slowly up to the front door, taking her time to admire. She could feel her drivers gaze on her back, watching to make sure she got on alright. Knocking on the front door, she smiled. It had been a while since she’d visited someone’s house - outside of her family.

Sarah!" Loki cried out as she picked him. "No, Sarah! Put me down! Sarah!
Wait…how are you able to pick me up so easily?”

"Oh for the love of god!" Sarah cried, seeing Loki return to his sulky state. "What’s your deal today? Did you just get up on the wrong side of the bed or what?"

"Well, when all you hear anymore at your house are the praises of your brother and only your brother you start to get up on the wrong side of the bed quite a lot,” Loki said with a sigh.

Sarah’s eyebrow furrowed. “What are you talking about?” She asked quietly, the joking gone from her voice and she sat down next to him.

"All I ever hear about anymore is something to do with Thor’s greatness and things he’s done that are just absolutely wonderful,” Loki said bitterly. “And if it’s about me at all, it’s about how I’ve messed something up…again.”

Sarah didn’t say anything, didn’t know what to say. She just stayed quiet, knowing Loki would take it as an invitation to keep talking. He’d allowed her to rant to him enough times, it was only fair.
